Some symptoms of Cystic Fibrosis are thick mucus that builds up in which bacteria begans to form, liver disease, osteoporosis, nasal polyps, fertility problems in women because your cervix becomes blocked with mucus, and male infertility because the tube that carries sperm becomes blocked.
In order to develop Cystic Fibrosis you need to inherit two CF genes, one from your mother and one from your father. If you inherit only one you will just be a carrier. Cystic Fibrosis is not sex-linked but it is a recessive allele.
Air Polutions can affect Cystic fibrosis
A test for CF can be done during early pregnancy. A newborn a few days old can be tested by pricking the heel of the foot and testing the blood a process call blood spot screening. The environment doesnt affect CF.
